Orrett Music Academy employs only active music professionals with degrees in Music Performance and/or Education and a minimum of 3 years of private teaching experience. Several are also certified teachers (OCT) and/or ARCT. We strongly believe the best teachers live and love the life they teach. Dave’s love for music education spans almost two decades. He began his early teaching career as a part-time Arts and Sports camp coordinator, drama teacher, and piano teacher with Toronto Parks and Recreation. Soon Dave’s passion for music began to take over and he decided to open up his own music school where he could teach and inspire full time. More than 800 students later, and with the help of a meticulously chosen staff of like-minded professional teachers, Dave’s goal remains to give each student the tools necessary to attain his or her highest musical potential while making the journey enjoyable. Using techniques he has developed for numerous learning styles, Dave is an exceptional motivator and curriculum developer. Dave is also the proud founder and former volunteer director of “Pulse”, a percussion ensemble for inner-city youth which enjoyed considerable exposure on Breakfast Television, Reader’s Digest Magazine, and dozens of live performances including a feature at Massey Hall. Enjoying an established reputation as a songwriter, performer, producer and studio engineer, Dave lives and breathes the world of music.

Jacquelyn manages the day-to-day school operations, ensuring that everyone’s experience comes together smoothly. With a background in working with children, she gained valuable insights from her years working at summer camps. Her experience as a paramedic adds an extra layer of care, ensuring the well-being of each child.
In Jacquelyn’s Steps To Music classes she not only guides our youngest learners through a fun journey of musical discovery but also brings a contagious enthusiasm for fostering a love of music in every child. This class is an engaging introduction to the world of music, through our four core educational philosophies – Move. Sing. Listen. Play.

Liane is a versatile drummer with a comprehensive background in performing in front of live audiences, studio recording and music composition. Originally from Montreal, she has graced the stages of renowned events like the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Osheaga, Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) and Ottawa Bluesfest, along with various concerts and benefit performances across Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, and Quebec City with notable local bands.
With 8 years of teaching experience, Liane has worked with students of all levels in both private and group settings. Her teaching philosophy and her approach to supporting Orrett families emphasize building a strong sense of community in music education. In addition to her teaching experience, Liane has contributed in various leadership roles, where she gained valuable skills in onboarding, event planning, and managing social media platforms. Liane is a freelance videographer on the side, and you may find her performing at local venues in and around Toronto!

Mr. Christian is an accomplished and highly sought-after guitarist with a long-standing and distinguished career in the Toronto music scene. Over the years, he has amassed a wealth of experience, having performed in well over a thousand live shows across North America and Europe with highly notable Canadian and international artists. From club dates to festival tours to TV appearances, Mr. Christian has built a reputation as a skilled and adaptable performer, respected by his peers in the industry.
In addition to his performance career, Mr. Christian is an experienced educator with many years of teaching at one of Canada’s premier learning institutions. His extensive knowledge of music theory, technique, and performance, combined with his deep understanding of the practical side of being a professional musician, allows him to connect with students at all levels and ages. Christian offers a unique perspective in his teaching, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and interests, helping them reach their full potential as musicians and individuals.

Ms. Christee Palace is a pop singer, songwriter, and experienced music educator originally from Windsor, Ontario. Passionate about music and singing from a very young age, Ms. Christee began training in pop vocals, piano, and guitar through the Canadian Conservatory of Music, where she later became a vocal and piano instructor for nine years. She holds a degree in Drama in Education and Community from the University of Windsor, allowing her to blend her passion for teaching, music, and the performing arts into a unique and engaging approach. With over 15 years of performance experience, from musical theatre to fronting a touring wedding band, Ms. Christee connects deeply with her students and fosters a welcoming, creative environment.
Ms. Christee’s professional background as a recording artist adds a valuable layer to her teaching. Her debut EP Alive Today earned national radio play, with singles featured on over 60 stations across Canada. Her follow-up track Light It Up charted on Canada’s “Most Active Indies Chart” and was recognized in both the International and Canadian Songwriting Competitions. Currently working on her second EP in Toronto with producers and writers from Sony and Universal Music, Ms. Christee brings real-world music industry experience to her lessons. She inspires students to express themselves, develop strong musical technique, and explore their creativity with confidence and joy.

Mr. David is a classically trained contemporary pianist. He’s been working as a teacher and professional freelance musician for over a decade, bringing his enriched experience to every lesson. Having performed everything from Folk, to Jazz and Rock’n’Roll, Mr. David has a true understanding of an eclectically wide range of music, and where to find the magic in a song.
Mr. David believes that music is far more than just reading notes on a page; it’s about truly understanding the essence of a song and learning to express one’s unique voice through it. He views music as a powerful means of self-expression and emotional connection, constantly seeking the “magic” that occurs when a musician fully connects with their instrument and the music itself. Mr. David is passionate about guiding each student to discover their own sense of wonder and individuality within music. He encourages his students to explore their creative potential, finding the magic that makes their musical journey personal and fulfilling.

Mr. Jaden discovered his passion for guitar in his early teens and began teaching at 16. By 17, he had achieved advanced theory and rudiments with high honors through RCM. He later studied at Fanshawe College’s Music Industry Arts program, learning from notable Canadian music industry professionals, including Moe Berg, Dan Brodbeck, and David Martin. After graduating in 2012, Mr. Jaden taught in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for eight years before relocating to Etobicoke in 2019.
As a teacher, Mr. Jaden firmly believes that talent exists in every individual, and he approaches each student with this non-judgmental mindset, helping them unlock their potential. His charismatic, energetic, and enthusiastic personality creates a welcoming and inspiring environment for students of all ages. Mr. Jaden’s loyal commitment to each student’s growth shines through in his engaging and motivating teaching style, encouraging students to explore their musical abilities while making each lesson an exciting and enjoyable experience. Originally from Edmonton, Mr. Joel has been playing and teaching everything from classical to pop to jazz for over ten years. Mr. Joel studied at Berklee College of Music and received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music from MacEwan University in 2018. He has experience as a performer, songwriter, and composer. His work spans orchestras, choirs, jazz big bands, and solo piano. Passionate about teaching music with a multi-genre approach, Mr. Joel inspires students to work on music they love, and challenging them to discover exciting new music along the way.
As an educator, Mr Joel uses his composition expertise to help students understand both the music they play and the theory behind it. Whether studying classical, pop, or video game music, Mr. Joel is passionate about guiding students through complex and challenging songs. In the studio, Mr. Joel is optimistic, outgoing, and dedicated to knowing his students well, working with them each week to bring out the best in both them and their music!

Mrs. Simmons comes from a long line of musicians and educators, and she proudly shares that “music and teaching is in my blood.” From a young age, she was drawn to working with children and dreamed of becoming a teacher. Her childhood piano lessons quickly evolved into a deep passion for both music performance and education. Over the years, she has nurtured a lifelong commitment to inspiring young minds through the power of music.
For the last 18 years, Mrs. Simmons has worked as a full-time preschool music education specialist and piano accompanist for five school choirs, performing in multiple concerts and musicals each year. A career highlight includes playing the grand piano at Roy Thomson Hall to accompany choral performances at the Independent Schools Music Festivals on three occasions. Recently, she completed her Early Childhood Music Education certification from Ryerson University and The Royal Conservatory of Music, adding to her ARCT Piano Performer First Class Honours and ARCT Piano Teacher First Class Honours diplomas.
With 31 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Simmons is eager to share her knowledge and passion for music with her students. She believes that there is nothing more rewarding than witnessing the delight on a child’s face as they become fully immersed in the joy of music making, and she is committed to helping each student discover the magic of music.
Ms Beverley

Beverley has been a performer from a very young age, that all started when she crashed her mother’s voice studio recitals singing The Little Mermaid at 3 years old. After 10 years of piano lessons culminating into her Grade 9 RCM in piano,12+ years of dance classes, choir, and voice lessons, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Alberta and graduated with distinction. Throughout her life, Beverley has had the opportunity to teach students in musical theatre, dance, acting, voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele, both in a group setting, and in private one on one sessions. They also are an avid songwriter, and are currently teaching themselves how to play the accordion!
She has trained with many professionals and teachers, most notably Tara Laberge and Kim Mattice Wanat for voice, and David Ley, Sandra Nicholls, and Alana Hawley-Purvis for acting. Professionally, they have worked with National Youth Choir, directors such as Ann Hodges and Jan Selman, and have done multiple Shakespeare productions as well as musicals and modern plays.
New to Toronto, Beverley is so excited to pass on their lifetime love of music and performing to their students, and is grateful to be able to continue growing their passion in such a vibrant and new environment. She believes that every student has the potential for joy and success, especially when they are given autonomy over their learning, tailoring each experience to the individual. She is a bright and bubbly person, and always offers a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. Students can expect a multi-media and multi-faceted approach, as Beverley believes that a love for music can be fostered through a variety of ways!

With one foot planted firmly in the world of classical/orchestral music, the other planted in the world of contemporary pop music, Drummer and Percussionist Mr. Jim has amassed a diverse skill set spanning many genres and eras. Mr. Jim’s experience studying at Western had a focus on classical/orchestral percussion and led to an extensive understanding of technique, musicality in varied situations, as well as proficiency in reading. Mr. Jim then attended Humber College where he was able to hone his drum kit ability and expand his musical knowledge into the realm of pop music, jazz, rock, R&B and latin music.
This wide array of experience has allowed Mr. Jim to develop a lesson program that can be used in all musical settings and by all skill levels. Mr. Jim fully believes that music is a universal language and approaches teaching as such. Just like with language, building your musical vocabulary and grammar allows you to freely express yourself on your instrument and communicate more effectively with other musicians. He makes lessons as fun and engaging as possible by custom tailoring lessons to suit your interests. Mr. Jim has built up an arsenal of educational materials including custom lesson handouts, popular song play-a-long tracks and demo videos; all designed to help you reach your drumming goals.

Music lived in Ms. Meghan long before she began piano lessons at the age of six. Growing up, she trained enthusiastically in both music and dance, which eventually led her to the world of classical piano. Through her studies, she gained extensive knowledge of the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum and developed a passion for accompanying, which has been an integral part of her musical journey.
Currently working towards a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Toronto, Ms. Meghan is carving her own path in the music industry. She has collaborated with fellow students and composers, and she currently accompanies ballet classes for Pre-K to Grade 4 at Harmony School of Dance & Music in Toronto. Ms. Meghan has also gained extensive experience working with children, having held various volunteer positions at summer camps and music programs.
Ms. Meghan’s ultimate goal is to contribute to art that matters, and she believes one of the best ways to do so is by fostering a love of music in young people. She is passionate about the idea that music can offer something meaningful to everyone and is excited to meet new students, guiding them on their own musical journeys.
Ms Briana

Ms. Briana is a classically trained vocalist and pianist with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Voice from the University of Toronto and RCM Level 9 Piano certification. Raised in a musical family surrounded by saxophone, flute, and piano, Ms. Briana developed a deep connection to music from a young age. What began as a way to express herself as a shy child through voice lessons eventually grew into a lifelong passion. She has since performed as a lead vocalist and instrumentalist in church bands and now shares her extensive musical experience across genres such as pop, R&B, gospel, rock, jazz, musical theatre, funk, and klezmer. Ms. Briana also brings a rich background in composition and sound design, having written music for short animation films, and she is a proud member of Toronto’s Nagata Shachu, a Japanese taiko drumming ensemble.
Parents can feel confident that Ms. Briana’s students receive a well-rounded and personalized music education rooted in both technical skill and self-expression. Her approach combines classical training with a broad exposure to global music styles, encouraging students to explore their creativity and discover their unique musical identity. Whether working on piano, voice, or other instruments, Ms. Briana’s lessons foster confidence, curiosity, and a sense of joy in making music. Through her warm and encouraging teaching style, students not only build strong musical foundations but also develop communication, discipline, and an appreciation for the art form.

Ms. Emma is a classically trained pianist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, currently completing her Bachelor of Music in Composition at the University of Toronto. With a deep passion for a variety of genres, including jazz, folk, pop, and musical theatre, Ms. Emma brings a versatile and creative approach to her teaching. Her love for music began at a very young age, performing and touring with SaskExpress, but it was through composing her own music that she truly found her calling. Ms. Emma has since experimented with a wide range of classical and modern styles, composing chorale, symphonic, and chamber music, as well as songwriting and arranging in her free time.
Ms. Emma is dedicated to working with students of all ages, helping them discover the unique role music can play in their lives. She is a firm believer in the arts as a powerful tool for empowering young minds and fostering a strong sense of self. Her teaching is grounded in a passion for encouraging creativity, self-expression, and growth. Ms. Emma is enthusiastic and committed to guiding her students toward achieving their artistic goals, while ensuring they enjoy the process along the way.
When she’s not teaching, Ms. Emma enjoys spending time outdoors, camping and hiking in the prairies, and relaxing with her cat, Lilac. Whether guiding her students or exploring nature, Ms. Emma’s love for creativity and connection shines through in everything she does.

Mr. Jack is a classically trained pianist with extensive solo, collaborative, and professional experiences. He holds a Master of Music from Indiana University, and an undergrad in Piano Performance from University of Toronto, studying with Professors Evelyne Brancart and Lydia Wong, respectively.
In the studio, Mr. Jack aims to foster music appreciation while developing technical skills with his students. He views music making as both emotionally fulfilling and intellectually stimulating, emphasizing its power to unite people and create lasting memories. With expertise across various genres, Mr. Jack adapts his approach to each student’s interests, whether in classical, jazz, pop, or contemporary styles, ensuring a personalized and dynamic learning experience.

Sara is a Thai-native pianist and piano teacher. At a very young age, Sara had her first piano lesson from her mother and fell in love with the instrument. In 2014, she was accepted to the College of Music Mahidol University in Thailand and also did her bachelor in music in Classical Piano Performance at the same university. Currently, she is studying the Applied Music and Health master program at University of Toronto.
Sara loves to explore other music genres as well as working as a collaborative pianist. She is a passionate teacher who is interested in piano pedagogy with 5-years of teaching one-on-one piano lessons. Sara includes a variety of activities and supports creativity in her lessons. Sara understands that every student is unique, which is why she is always seeking new ways of teaching to teach and adapt for the benefit of her students.

Ms. Elena is a passionate vocalist, songwriter, and musician originally from Trinidad & Tobago. Since moving to Toronto in 2013, she has completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Music with honours from Humber College and built a career as both a performer and educator. She has performed as a lead singer at renowned venues in Toronto and Montreal, and at major festivals including the Beaches Jazz Festival and SunFest. In 2017, she released her debut EP, Illusion, showcasing her artistry and musical versatility. With experience teaching voice, piano, and steelpan in both private and group settings, Ms. Elena brings a vibrant and culturally rich perspective to her teaching.
Drawing from her rich experience as a performer, Ms. Elena is dedicated to developing well-rounded artists of all ages and backgrounds. She believes that singing is the ultimate form of self-expression, and her passion for making music accessible is evident in her teaching style. For her, music is more than just an art form; it’s a way to connect with oneself and the world around us. Ms. Ayana is an operatic soprano based in Toronto, Ontario. She holds a Master’s degree in operatic performance from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s degree in classical voice from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Throughout her career, Ms. Ayana has cultivated a versatile and diverse vocal skill set, training in various musical styles such as classical, opera, musical theatre, pop, and jazz. Her passion for music blossomed at an exceptionally young age, with Ms. Ayana discovering her love for singing before she could even speak. This early connection to music led her to perform in a variety of musical productions, and it was through her experiences in musical theatre that she eventually found her true calling in opera. Over the years, she has developed a deep appreciation for the expressive power of the operatic voice, blending her early musical influences with the intricacies of classical training.
As a dedicated teacher, Ms. Ayana adopts a highly individualized approach to her instruction. She understands that every student possesses unique qualities and needs, which is why she creates customized learning plans designed to foster each student’s growth and success. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical potential. With extensive live performance and international touring experience with major label artist(s), Mr Julien embraced pop music at an early age, as well as rock, funk, R&B, and jazz. This led to the development of a unique hybrid approach to drums and percussion that blends acoustic and electronic elements. Growing up in New York City’s hyper competitive music scene, at 19 years old Mr Julien (and friends) won a national competition held by global music publisher SESAC and was immediately thrust into the professional world. Over the next 10 years, he toured arenas, festivals, made TV appearances, and taught. Now based in Toronto, Mr. Julien is an advocate for fluency in music, including reading and writing it!
Mr. Julien’s teaching approach is personalized to accommodate different learning styles, while encouraging contextual learning through songs. He engages audio, visual, and tactile learners with fun, interactive exercises, including drumless tracks, rhythm exploration, and time breakdowns. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, his hands-on methods help you reach your musical goals across all skill levels and genres.

Ms. Danica is a Toronto-based pianist, composer, accompanist, and educator with a rich background in both performance and academic achievement. She began piano lessons at the age of six and quickly developed a love for music, earning her RCM Grade 8 Piano Certificate with First Class Honours by age thirteen. She went on to study at the Music Conservatory in Bratislava before completing her Bachelor’s degree in Composition at Western University, where she received the University of Western Ontario Gold Medal and was named to the Dean’s Honour List. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s degree in Collaborative Performance, further refining her skills as a well-rounded and versatile musician.
For the past four years, Ms. Danica has been teaching solo piano, collaborative piano, and music theory to students of various ages and levels. Her teaching style combines a strong technical foundation with an open, encouraging environment that fosters creativity and curiosity. She introduces students to a wide range of musical styles—from classical to film scores and pop music—helping them develop their own musical identity while building confidence and skill. Instilling passionate curiosity in her students is Ms. Danica’s favourite way to share her lifelong appreciation for music!

Ms. Rachel is an international singer, actor, and teacher having worked and performed all over the world including: Canada, the UK, and China. She is a graduate from Randolph College for the Performing Arts (Triple Threat college program, Diploma) and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Musical Theatre Performance, Masters).
As a voice and musical theatre teacher, her goal is to help the student build the confidence and freedom to sing in a tensionless, technical, and fun way! Known for creating a safe space and having knowledge of many vocal styles, Ms. Rachel will successfully help your child find their inner voice.

Beyond her performance career, Ms. Jillian has participated in prestigious programs such as the National Academy Orchestra, where she was Associate Concertmaster, and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestral Institute, National Youth Orchestra of Canada, Round Top Festival Institute, and the Marrowstone Music Festival. Her commitment to music education is just as strong, with her students having participated in the Kiwanis Festival, Ontario Music Festival Provincials, Royal Conservatory Music Exams, and even performing at Carnegie Hall. Under the mentorship of esteemed professors Miroslaw Herbowsky and Tosik Warszawiak, Mr. Luca also developed a deep understanding of harmony, counterpoint, and music theory. He has performed and studied with world-renowned pianists such as Krystian Zimerman and Leif Ove Andsnes, and has taught piano at the university level as well as in esteemed institutions like The Prebendal School in Chichester and most recently in Toronto. Mr. Luca was also awarded a special prize in Krakow for excellence in music pedagogy and for his contributions to piano education.

Daisy has a Bachelor of Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, and is completing a Bachelor of Education. She is also a graduate of the Music Theatre programme at the Etobicoke School of the Arts. Daisy has been passionate about singing since she signed herself up for the Oakville Choir for Children & Youth at age seven. Her love of choir came full circle when she started working with a children’s choir in Waterloo, conducting at concerts and vocal coaching during rehearsals. She also worked as a birthday party princess for three years, and could probably perform “Let It Go” in her sleep.
Daisy strongly believes singing is one of the most vulnerable—and powerful—things a person can do. She strives to create a space for her students that allows them to feel safe, but also brave, able to make mistakes, overcome challenges, and flourish. As a lifelong learner, Daisy strives to grow alongside her students and embrace their shared love of music together. Daisy enjoys teaching pop, musical theatre, and classical vocal music.

Ms. Alexa is a dedicated music educator and theatre artist who brings a wealth of experience in vocal performance, instrumental music, and musical theatre to her students. Ms. Alexa holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Drama and Music from Queen’s University, as well as a Bachelor of Music Theatre and a Diploma in Musical Theatre Performance from St. Lawrence College. Her extensive training in vocal pedagogy, composition, and instrumental music enables her to design lessons that cater to a variety of musical aspirations, fostering both technical proficiency and a love of music in every student.
Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is a powerful tool for self-expression and confidence-building. She creates a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can explore their craft and develop both technical skills and personal artistry.
With her experience as a theatre performer, Ms. Alexa incorporates movement, breath control, and storytelling into her lessons. This approach allows students to gain a deeper understanding of their music, whether they are focusing on vocal technique, musical composition, or instrumental skills. Ms. Alexa tailors her teaching to each student’s unique goals, whether they aspire to perform on stage, refine their technical abilities, or simply enjoy music for personal growth.

Jasmine is an enthusiastic and dedicated music teacher with experience teaching private lessons, group classes, and summer camps. Jasmine strives to create a supportive, dynamic learning environment where students of all ages and skill levels can explore, grow, and develop confidence. She loves teaching music across a wide range of genres and styles, believing that valuable lessons can be learned from any song, regardless of its sound.
Jasmine’s musical journey took flight in high school, where she played oboe for youth orchestras and sang in her school’s choir. Inspired by music’s ability to connect people, as well as it being a powerful approach to emotional expression, she pursued a Bachelor of Music Composition at Wilfrid Laurier University. She discovered her passion for teaching while working at camps as a summer job between school years.
In addition to teaching, Jasmine has composed several works for band camps, youth ensembles, art installations, and even science experiments. Her recent work for orchestra Del Aram was selected for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Explore the Score reading session of May 2024. Jasmine loves to use musical expression as a storytelling device, be it through performance or her own compositions. She has always been passionate and excited about music and aims to inspire the same in her students, tailoring lessons to support their unique goals, personalities, and interests.

Mr. Matthew is a passionate and dedicated guitar teacher who began playing guitar at an early age, with lessons starting around twelve years old. His musical journey began when he walked into his first lesson, where his teacher played a selection of riffs and asked which one he liked. After learning the chosen riff, Mr. Matthew fell in love with music and the process of learning it. Currently, Mr. Matthew is enrolled at Mohawk College, pursuing a degree in Contemporary Guitar.
Mr. Matthew’s teaching style is deeply influenced by his own experiences as a student. He believes in applying songs to concepts, ensuring that students build their repertoire, practice technique, and most importantly, enjoy the music-making process. His approach is student-centered, aiming to connect with each individual and tailor lessons to their unique learning style. He welcomes all students, regardless of experience level, and enjoys finding creative ways to help them retain concepts and apply them to future lessons.
Mr. Matthew encourages students to bring in songs they enjoy, fostering a sense of ownership over their learning. For students who may not have specific songs in mind, Mr. Matthew is well-versed in a variety of genres and will introduce them to older music, encouraging them to explore how it influences their own works and practice. He believes that music is a powerful tool for personal growth, mental well-being, and connection, and he is passionate about inspiring students to recognize its value in their lives. Mr. Matthew is committed to helping students build meaningful connections with music, guiding them to discover its ability to inspire both themselves and the world around them.

A second-generation piano teacher, Ms. Clara follows in the footsteps of her mother, Pamela Lang of ORMTA and the Edmonton Academy of Music. With over twenty years of private teaching experience, she has taught in studios from Los Angeles to the Greater Toronto Area and worked with respected institutions including Dixon Hall Music School, Conservatory of Music Enhanced Education, RCM, RCM Examinations, Euromusic Centre, National Academy of Music, Wandering Minstrel, Water Street Theatre, Conrad Grebel College, and the K-W Symphony. She is also an experienced children’s music arranger and former choral accompanist, bringing a wide range of musical knowledge to her teaching.
Ms. Clara’s lessons focus on creating joyful, engaging experiences tailored to each student’s unique learning style, temperament, and goals. She incorporates early childhood education principles while also preparing students for performance, helping them build both confidence and skill. She believes in the power of curiosity and creativity, and encourages students to explore music with a sense of wonder and excitement. As part of the Orrett Music community, she looks forward to growing alongside her students and their families.

At just 9 years old, Jeremy discovered his lifelong passion when he began taking piano lessons in his hometown of Victoria, BC. Through dedicated practice and supportive instruction, his musical talents flourished throughout his school years, opening doors to exciting performance opportunities with local music groups. His early musical foundation led him to pursue advanced studies in jazz at Toronto’s prestigious Humber College, where he developed a deep understanding of music theory, creative expression, and professional musicianship.
Today, Jeremy’s musical journey has taken him across Canada and Europe, performing with various ensembles and producing music in Toronto. But perhaps most rewarding is his role as a teacher, drawing from his own experience of how transformative music education can be in a young person’s life. Having been shaped by exceptional teachers throughout his own journey, Jeremy is passionate about creating an encouraging, positive learning environment where students can develop not just musical skills, but also confidence, creativity, and a lasting love for music that enriches their lives in countless ways.
