Orrett Music Academy is pleased to offer our popular Specialty Music Day Camps again this summer!

Etobicoke – Musical Theatre Camp (ages 8-12), Junior Musical Theatre Camp (ages 5-7), & Pop/Rock Band Camp (ages 8-12). We will be running camps for 6 weeks

Oakville – Musical Theatre Camp (ages 7-12)  We will be running camps for 3 weeks – (July 6-10, July 13-17, & July 20-24 only)

General Info

Our Specialty Day Camps include 60% music / arts programming and 40% general programming. General programming includes activities to support the performance such as prop, posture, and costume designing.

Orrett Camps include a daily group stretch and a brief but effective camp-wide mindfulness exercise.

At Orrett, we pride ourselves in providing interactive activities and keeping screen time to a minimum. Unless screen time is required for educational purposes, Orrett camps have NO screen time during a typical day unless outdoor activities cannot take place due to inclement weather or a parent/camper declining to take part.

AGE RULES – A student must be within the age range offered for the camp at the time the camp is held (A camper turning the minimum age within the same month as the camp is acceptable). Age rules are strict for the benefit of the entire group.

ETOBICOKE – Weather-permitting, outdoor activities will be held at Tom Riley Park. All camp groups at Orrett walks to and from the park together for maximum safety and supervision. We cross Bloor St. at the lights at Gardenvale Rd. / Aberfoyle Cres.. You can view the walking route below:

Etobicoke Junior Musical Theatre Camp & Oakville Musical Theatre Camp – Supervision max ratio is 8:1 – Max 12 campers with a leader (1) plus volunteer (0.5). Max ratio for outdoor activities is 10:1.

Etobicoke Musical Theatre Camp – Supervision max ratio is 10:1 – Max 15 campers with a leader (1) volunteer (0.5). Max ratio for outdoor activities is 10:1.

Etobicoke Pop/Rock Band Camp  – Supervision max ratio is 7:1 – Max 7 campers with a leader (1). Max ratio for outdoor activities is 10:1.

Camp hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. (Optional before & after care is available at an additional cost, see below for details).

The Junior Musical Theatre Day Camp and Rock Band Camp culminate in a mini-performance for parents & guests on the Friday at 4:00 PM. The standard aged Musical Theatre Day Camp (Etobicoke and Oakville) culminates in a mini-performance for parents and guests on the Friday at 4:45 PM. Estimated length of the mini-performance is 15 minutes.

Please pack a water bottle, nut-free lunch, and 2 snacks daily for your child, as well as sunscreen and any outdoor clothing they might need that day.

Daily posted schedules below are subject to small changes at the discretion of Orrett Music Academy.

BEFORE CARE DETAILS: Before Care is available Monday through Friday starting at 8:30 am for $50/week. Before Care is NON-REFUNDABLE. Please note before care is supervised, unprogrammed play time.

AFTER CARE DETAILS: After Care is available Monday through Thursday until 5:00 pm for $60/week. After Care is NOT AVAILABLE FRIDAY due to performances but camp continues Friday until 4:30 for Junior Musical Theatre and Pop Band Camp and until 5:15 for standard age Musical Theatre.. Please note after care is supervised, unprogrammed play time.

REFUND POLICY: Withdrawal from camp may be done up to 30 days prior to the first day of camp, in which case all fees will be refunded minus a $50 administrative fee and any before care that was purchased (Before and After Care are NOT refundable). No refunds will be provided with less than 30 days notice prior to the first day of camp.

Camp Details & Daily Schedule

Is your child the next triple threat that loves to be on stage? Do they have lots of personality and energy that could use a creative outlet? This is a popular music, acting, and dance camp culminating in a mini-performance on our stage! Fair warning, it fills up fast and is guaranteed to be lots of fun!

Does your child love to rock out to the latest tunes? Music is best when shared with friends! This ROCKin’ camp will give students with at least one year of experience on an instrument a chance to create music together. Our bands have also have access to their own specialty room, recording studio, and more. This camp culminates in a mini-performance on our stage.
